Josh Kendrick

Josh made his first steps into the geotechnical drilling industry in 2002 after spending 18 months in a fitter turner engineering apprenticeship. Over a total of almost 20 years in the Geotech drilling and Cone penetration testing (CPT) industry, he has since progressed from a fresh faced off-sider through to an operator on tractors, marooka based drill rigs, then into track mounted CPT rigs. His final progression was into a hands-on Operations and Training role in 2012. In this role, he was not only able to work with the team in house but also contractors, engineers, suppliers and manufacturers globally.

Josh has extensive knowledge and experience in CPT and drilling operations, backed up with sound H&S, project and site management experience. Josh gained his DICAT Drilling Certificate in 2007 and the NZQA Mito Level 4 Drilling Certificate in 2020. He has attended multiple CPT conferences including CPT10 in California, CPT14 in Nevada and CPT18 in the Netherlands. He has worked nationally throughout both the north and south islands of New Zealand, as well as travelling to Papua New Guinea, St Kitts and Nevis to conduct portable CPTs.
