To measure pore water pressure in the soil, earth/rock-fill foundations and concrete structures. It is a vibrating wire piezometer that is made of stainless steel and hermetically sealed under a vacuum of 0.001 Torr. These sensors have a built-in thermistor for temperature measurement and a surge arrester for protection from lightning.
A glass to metal seal solder pin connector is provided for an easy cable connection. Using the grouting technique these piezometers can be mounted at different levels in a borehole.
